The first visit to our office is complimentary. . Dr. Chan will evaluate the condition of your teeth, then discuss treatment options for correction and recommend the optimum timing for treatment. We may take digital pictures of your teeth to help us explain your unique situation If treatment is recommended at this time, full diagnostic records will be recommended, including digital images, molds of your teeth. These diagnostic records may be taken at this visit or another appointment will be made if more convenient. Since you will be receiving a recommendation, it is necessary for one parent to accompany the patient, should he/she be a minor. |
After diagnostic records have been studied, an accurate analysis of the case will be determined. We will then present a thorough and complete case diagnosis, an outline of the treatment plan and make all necessary recommendations. If any changes in treatment plan are needed, you will be so advised and, if necessary, another consultation held. Also a consultation with other dental/medical specialists may be recommended at this time. Orthodontic treatment is a family affair, and we want you to be able to enjoy and to understand the wonderful benefits and changes that become apparent during the treatment period. We will endeavor to answer all of your questions, and if you or your child have particular concerns that might influence the acceptance of treatment, this is the opportune time for discussing them. |
The first banding appointments usually requires approximately one hour for appliances to be placed in the mouth and care instructions given. All such appointments are usually scheduled as in the morning. We give after school appointments when possible, however, they must be confined to the procedures which take a minimum of time. If you must reschedule an appointment, please call at least 24hours in advance. Multiple failed appointments could prolong treatment and affect the quality of the treatment results. Our normal office hours are: Monday-Thursday 8:15am - 5pm Friday 8:30am -12pm Select Tuesdays 1:30pm - 7pm |

Our treatment coordinator will discuss and assist in arranging a convenient payment plan with you. We accept all payment methods, including cash, credit cards, online banking, and automatic withdrawal. Although many dental insurance companies now cover orthodontic treatment, each has a different scope of coverage and method of payment. Our office is pleased to assist in filling claims for you, but we will aid you in collecting from your insurance company. |
